Example
This input:
Free shipping
Easy returns
Secure checkout gives this output with the settings on this page:
<ul>
<li>Free shipping</li>
<li>Easy returns</li>
<li>Secure checkout</li>
</ul> How it works
The Options section has four text fields: before each item, after each item, before the list and after the list. This page fills them for an HTML list. Paste the rows and copy the markup.
Type \n in a field for a line break and \t for a tab. The two spaces before each li tag give you tidy indentation.
Make it an ordered list
Change ul to ol in the two list fields. For a menu or a link list, put the tag around a link: <li><a href="#"> before and </a></li> after. Every item then becomes a link text.
More uses for prefix and suffix
- Markdown bullets: put "- " before each item and leave the rest empty.
- SQL rows: choose single quotes, put "(" before and ")" after each item, and you get one value group per item.
- Hashtags: put "#" before each item and use a space as the separator.
