How to make the banner
- Type the message in the box. Add the name of the birthday child on the end.
- Choose Letter or A4 paper. Portrait pages give tall letters. Landscape pages give wide, short letters.
- Pick Outline if you want to color the letters in by hand. Pick Filled for finished letters.
- Turn on punch hole marks, download the PDF and print it at 100% or Actual size.
- Cut along the dashed line, punch the holes and thread the pages on string or ribbon.
Tips for a good banner
- Print on cardstock. It hangs flat and does not curl.
- Choose Outline to save ink. A child can color it in at the party table.
- Leave a gap between the words, or turn on Blank page to print a spacer sheet.
- Rainbow gives each page a different color, so one print run makes a bright banner.
Print at actual size
In the print dialog, choose 100% or Actual size. Do not choose Fit to page. That setting shrinks the page, and the punch marks move.
